Here’s a Quick Way to Create Healthy Sautéed Broccolini

I was introduced to broccolini when I moved to Ireland and immediately fell in love with it. This tender and crisp side dish are sautéed in butter with garlic. So here’s a quick way to create healthy sautéed broccolini.

Healthy Sautéed Broccolini


  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 bunch of fresh broccolini (8oz)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (Himalayan salt)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic (minced)

Cooking Process of Healthy Sautéed Broccolini

  1. While you’re heating the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, swirl the skillet to coat the bottom.
  2. When the butter is foaming, add the broccoli then season it with salt, black pepper and garlic.
  3. Sauté the broccolini for about 2 minutes on each side until they’re tender. If they’re still tough and no butter is left in the skillet, add 2 tablespoons of water and cover it with a lid. Steam the vegetable until the stems are tender (1-2 minutes).
  4. Remove the broccoli with a slotted spoon and serve immediately.

As you can see you can create this delicious side dish with only a few simple ingredients. It also goes with practically any meat or seafood as well as it is perfect alongside fried or poached eggs.


For a healthier option, you can use olive oil instead of butter.

If you want to get the most health benefit from the Broccoli, just gently steam it.


This green vegetable contains a great number of nutrients such as fibre, iron, vitamin C, vitamin K and potassium. It also has more protein than other vegetables.
