Ingredients
- Salmon fillet
- Minced garlic
- Honey
- Apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- Salt and pepper.
Cooking Steps
· Let’s begin with the salmon fillets and season them with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
· Next, we are making the honey garlic sauce by mixing the ingredients together.
· Then, we heat up a skillet or pan and cook the salmon with garlic and sauce.
· You can also add an extra step by broiling the fillets in the oven.
· Broiling on high heat chars the surface of the fish, making this recipe extremely delicious and restaurant-worthy.
How To Cook Salmon
- First, we brush the salmon fillets with the sauce then pan fry for 4-5 minutes, skin side up.
- After we turn the fillets to the other side, we brush them again with the sauce. Fry for a further 4-5 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through.
- When you are ready the fish should have a beautifully caramelised surface and the inside should be moist and coral rather than a pale pink or white.
Tips
The healthy salmon dish is best served with side dishes such as steamed or roasted carrots, sauteed Asparagus or Broccolini with garlic butter.
